- A Rosé that I particularly appreciate!Its freshness and youthfulness are very appreciable, it is a well-balanced rosé with pleasant aromas of white fresh fruits with a delicate bitterness on the palate reminding me of citrus fruits.

- Another Rolle (Vermentino) from Provence. I said in a previous review that I'm not into this grape, but today's wine made my day. In glass - pale yellow, green reflexions, clear, jolly. Nose - expressive, fresh grape flowers, white flowers, spice. Very nice, it captures Provence's character. In mouth - young and fresh, good acidity, minerals, white flowers, light fruity notes of green apple, stone fruit. Medium refreshing aftertaste, light body.

- This is a fantastic red with so much cherry, currant, ash, tobacco, earth and walnut aromas. It’s full and layered with firm tannins that provide form, texture and structure. Linear and long. Really excellent for the vintage. Give it two or three years to come together, but already a beauty. Try after 2024.

- The 2018 Al Passo is another appealing wine in the Tolaini range. Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon work well together in th is blend. Bright and punchy, the 2018 bristles with energy from start to finish. Ripe red/purplish berry fruit, rose petal, spice, mint and blood orange build effortlessly.

- Quite ripe, yet not over-ripe, the inky hued 2019 Saint Joseph reveals notes of pen ink, crushed stone, blackberry, and ground pepper, followed by a full-bodied red with moderate acidity. Rich and textured, not heavy, it can be drunk over the coming decade or so.

- Dark berries, licorice, potpourri and allspice aromas are complemented by olive and woodsmoke accents. Sappy and seamless on the palate, offering pliant blueberyy, cherry cola, floral pastille and spicecake flavors supported by a core of juicy acidity. A smoky nuance appears on the long, dark-fruit-driven finish, where velvety tannins provide shape and gentle grip.

- An estate that readers need to have on their radar is that of Brothers Laurent and Dominique Courbis, in the village of Châteaubourg. The entire lineup is a treasure trove of quality wines, which can generally be found at reasonable prices

- A sweetly seductive mix of raw honey, melon, peaches, and mint wafts up from the 2020 Trebbiano Bro. It takes a turn to the savory spectrum on the palate, mixing saline-minerals with green apple and nuances of almond. This reverberates with salty tension through the close, leaving a nutty richness to contrast with a twang of citrus.

- A lightly herbaceous trebbiano with grass and preserved lemons. Light body, solid acidity and a crunchy finish. Drink now.

- The Predappio zone is known for Sangiovese wines with depth and structure yet refined elegance too. Marco Cirese chose nine hectares of his best-suited, highest plots with the oldest vines for his micro-project rooted in local identity. Steel and concrete draw out the purest expression of the terroir. Lively and shimmering on the nose, this has an acidic backbone supporting smooth, silky tannins. Streamlined, characterful, savoury and immensely enjoyable in long, tempting sips.

- The 2020 IL Sangiovese opens slowly to show notes of wet stone, peppery herbs, roses and freshly sliced plum. It's silky in texture, fleshing out across the palate with a wave of ripe red and black berries tinged with sweet violet and mineral tones. It finishes with incredible persistence and lightly structured. Give the 2020 a little time to open in the glass or bottle to allow its bouquet to fully blossom.

- Smooth and polished, this offers aromas of ripe red berries, blue flowers and eucalyptus. Savory and so easy to drink, the fresh palate features juicy Morello cherry, cassis, and star anise accompanied by little tannins.

- The 2021 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Le vaglie is quite coy in the glass, as nuances of young peach and pear are complemented by hints of chamomile. It washes across the palate with saline intensity and tart orchard fruits, creating a tense yet also juicy sensation. The 2021 finishes lightly structered with a staining of primary concentration and hints of savory spice. A little more time in bottle should allow the Le Vaglie to come further into focus. Le Vaglie is all about harmony and balanced pleasure!

- Here, the iconic bottle, already on the market in the 90s, in all its splendor: fruit nose with green fresh, past cedar on the head and beautiful floral face. Refined, savory and crunchy drink with excellent persistence.
