The Predappio zone is known for Sangiovese wines with depth and structure yet refined elegance too. Marco Cirese chose nine hectares of his best-suited, highest plots with the oldest vines for his micro-project rooted in local identity. Steel and concrete draw out the purest expression of the terroir. Lively and shimmering on the nose, this has an acidic backbone supporting smooth, silky tannins. Streamlined, characterful, savoury and immensely enjoyable in long, tempting sips.<br />

The 2020 IL Sangiovese opens slowly to show notes of wet stone, peppery herbs, roses and freshly sliced plum. It's silky in texture, fleshing out across the palate with a wave of ripe red and black berries tinged with sweet violet and mineral tones. It finishes with incredible persistence and lightly structured. Give the 2020 a little time to open in the glass or bottle to allow its bouquet to fully blossom.<br />

Smooth and polished, this offers aromas of ripe red berries, blue flowers and eucalyptus. Savory and so easy to drink, the fresh palate features juicy Morello cherry, cassis, and star anise accompanied by little tannins.
