Trebbiano Spoletino 2018
DOC Spoletino
Azienda Perticaia | Montefalco (Umbrië)
-
Een wijn met veel fruit, kruidig en niet te bloemig die gastronomisch breed inzetbaar is. De perfecte arrangementswijn
Harrie Baas, Harries Wine & Deli, Rotterdam

The fresh, delicate white, with notes of citron and lemon leaf and a slight hint of bay, is bound to improve. Especcialy good value wine!

Intens robijn rood.

Supertuscan for everyone, this is a delicious red from Bolgheri! Delicious red fruit jam and roasted bell pepper form a wonderful bouquet together with black pepper and hints of forest floor. Hints of thyme and sage.Very smooth and elegant tannins and juicy acidity come together with a persistent finish of sour cherry and sandalwood. A pretty intense and complex wine for about 20 bucks! Worth a sip or two ;)

Bright straw yellow. Aromas of lime, licorice and herbs, plus a noteworthy smoky element. Bigger and more powerful than past vintages, offering nicely concentrated sweet/sour flavors of gooseberry, lime and smoked beef. This deep wine finishes very savory and with peppery bite.
Vinous Antonio Galloni 90/100 (jg.'15)

Trebbiano Spoletino has nothing to do with standard Trebbiano, often giving light and bland mass produced wines. This Umbrian variety is found around the town of Spoleto and is capable of producing high quality wines with much more body and complexity. Proved here by Montefalco producer Perticaia. Aromas of lemon, pear, melon, herbacious notes, jasmine, something soapy and a hint of asperagus. Medium body, elevated acidity, and a touch of fizz. Fresh and fruity with a herbacious aftertaste
Vivino 4/5 sterren

A wellcut white, light to mediumbodied and creamy, offering flavors of honeydew melon, white peach, chamomile and pickled ginger. Features a lively finish, with notes of ground white pepper and a tang of salinity.

€15,51Saint-Joseph Rouge 2015
Saint-Joseph AOC
Domaine Courbis | Châteaubourg (Rhône Noord)
-
Leading off the St Josephs and I'm sure the best vintage of this cuvée to date, the inkycolored 2015 Saint Joseph offers gorgeous notes of smoked black fruits, violets, lavender and chocolate in a rich, fullbodied, rounded and sexy style. It has present tannin, but more than enough fruit.
Robert Parker 92/100
-
Intense berry and lavender aromas are sharpened by a smoky mineral quality and a hint of white pepper. Seamless, focused and gently sweet on the palate, offering intense dark fruit liqueur and floral pastille flavors that become spicier on the back half. Finishes smooth and very long, with an echo of candied flowers and supple tannins adding shape
Vinous Antonio Galloni 92/100

Vintage 2015 is the product of a hot, sunny, dry summer, with June and July being close to perfect. Based on the weather, growing season and harvest, it looks like there is going to be a lot to like about the 2015 Northern Rhone Valley wines as all the information points to this being an exceptional vintage well worth buying and cellaring.

DOC Rosso di Montepulciano
Gracciano della Seta | Montepulciano (Toscane)

Truffle, woodland berry and violet aromas take center stage in this luminous red. The fresh, juicy palate doles out sour cherry, crushed raspberry, thyme and clove flavors, framed by taut, polished tannins. A star anise note closes the finish. Drink through 2019.

€8,13Saint-Joseph 'Les Royes' 2015
Saint-Joseph AOC
Domaine Courbis | Châteaubourg (Rhône Noord)
-
The inky black/blue-colored 2015 Saint Joseph les Royes from the Courbis team was brought up in one-third each of new, once and twice-used barrels. It offers sensational notes of crème de cassis toasted bread, licorice and pen ink in a massive, rich, concentrated, layered style that is shocking in its depth and richness. It's a crazy good St Joseph.

Opaque ruby. Ripe dark berries, cherry liqueur, olive and pipe tobacco on the highly perfumed nose; a smoky element adds vivacity. Energetic blackberry, bitter cherry and violet pastille flavors show excellent clarity and a hint of licorice that builds with air. The smooth, smoke-tinged finish emphatically repeats the floral and licorice notes, and supple tannins build steadily while folding into the intense dark fruit.

Dark red. The bouquet is wide, has a confident depth, notes of roast beef and prune, black berry jam present. The palate doesn’t hesitate, sets off on a well-ripened, compact path of black berry fruit, the fruit coming with a slightly “high” side. The tannins are munchy, gummy, and it ends on a note of tar. Has savoury qualities that will appeal. From 2019: it has work to do to fuse and then expand further.

€35,98Cornas 'Les Eygats' 2015
Cornas AOC
Domaine Courbis | Châteaubourg (Rhône Noord)
-
Even inkiercolored than the Sabarotte, the 2015 Cornas les Eygats is another single vineyard release that comes from a site located on the northern edge of the appellation. It offers sensational notes of plums, blueberries, crushed violets, pen ink and barbecue smoke in an utterly profound, decadent, layered, heavenly profile. There's ample tannin here, but they're sweet and polished, and it has an awesome finish. Don't miss it!
Robert Parker 97/100

Dark purple. Heady aromas of fresh dark berries, cherry liqueur, potpourri and incense, along with a spicy topnote. Sweet and seamless in texture, offering energetic, palatestaining dark berry, violet pastille and spicecake flavors enlivened by a spine of juicy acidity. Silky tannins build slowly on the strikingly long, penetrating finish, which leaves behind notes of candied blue fruit, cracked pepper and violet.
Vinous Antonio Galloni 94/100

Loads of floral character and rich, succulent blackberry fruit. Fresh, perfumed, much more satisfying and complete than their Champelrose. Incredibly lengthy. Absolutely wonderful and broad – stretches across the back palate. Superb.

Zoals altijd, meesterlijk elegant, in de geur tonen van vers geplukte rode vruchten. Geraffineerdheid blijft het kenmerk van dit domein. Evenwichtig in de smaak, deze wijn is opvallend delicaat en vol energie. Superbe!

Brilliant rubyred. Smokeaccented aromas of red and dark berry preserves, star anise and candied flowers convey a subtle hint of garrigue in the background. Sweet, seamless and broad on the palate, offering concentrated black raspberry and rose pastille flavors that turn spicier with air. Rich but vibrant as well, with no excess fat. Supple tannins build steadily on a very long, incisive finish that leaves behind notes of dark berries and candied flowers.

Sleek and fresh in feel, with bright cherry, damson plum and blood orange fruit flavors racing along, flecked with light shiso leaf and iron accents. Gives way to a perfumy but persistent finish. Drink now through 2024.

Wow! The "special" mash is very apparent in the aroma! Blackberries, black currant, and licorice round out a beautiful Italian profile. A little tannic but definitely ALL Italian! It's time to head back to Italy to the Valpolicella Region!
Vivino 4.0/5 (2014)

Ripasso lays out the same aromatic array as Amarone 2012, but the palate is a bit lighter, of course.
Gambero Rosso 2/3 bicchieri (2014)

Wonderful aromas of ripe fruit and rose petals with hints of flower leafs. Medium to full body, tangy acidity and a bright and vibrant finish. A Ripasso with verve.
