- Consistent high quality here and the 2017 shows a vibrant bouquet of dried violets, dried blackberries and citrus. Medium-bodied with so much mineral drive. The acidity gives superb tension to the agile blue fruit, but there’s underlying structure to the tannins. Drink now.

- Wish there was a 4.25 star - debated long to give it a 4.5 a wonderful Ripasso. Provides some dark fruit flavors on the palate that typically do not come out of a Ripasso. Some notes of plum and prune paired with red cherry and black cherry. Very smooth and easy drinking.

The whole is successful, young, dry and tense, an expression of the appellation.

- Very easy drinking Sancerre, with an nice balance of fruity and savory flavors. Citrus, grapefruit, lime, but also apple, pear, cream, minerals, and yeast aromas and flavors. Very light, but the flavors linger.

- It shows a fair amount of oak spice and black fruit, as well as good textural fiber on the close. Aged for ten months in large barrels, this wine is soft, round and thick around the middle. This is a very succulent and ripe Chianti Classico with big bones. It would make a great pairing with a rabbit pappardelle.
