+Even inkiercolored than the Sabarotte, the 2015 Cornas les Eygats is another single vineyard release that comes from a site located on the northern edge of the appellation. It offers sensational notes of plums, blueberries, crushed violets, pen ink and barbecue smoke in an utterly profound, decadent, layered, heavenly profile. There's ample tannin here, but they're sweet and polished, and it has an awesome finish. Don't miss it!

+Dark purple. Heady aromas of fresh dark berries, cherry liqueur, potpourri and incense, along with a spicy topnote. Sweet and seamless in texture, offering energetic, palatestaining dark berry, violet pastille and spicecake flavors enlivened by a spine of juicy acidity. Silky tannins build slowly on the strikingly long, penetrating finish, which leaves behind notes of candied blue fruit, cracked pepper and violet.

+Loads of floral character and rich, succulent blackberry fruit. Fresh, perfumed, much more satisfying and complete than their Champelrose. Incredibly lengthy. Absolutely wonderful and broad – stretches across the back palate. Superb.
Decanter 93/100
+Fulsome fruit in a wide, charged nose. Juicy richness and bounty in a striking wine, with character and very good length. Drinking Window 2019 2032

+2015 – The product of a hot, sunny, dry summer, with June and July being close to perfect. Things cooled down a bit in August. Many growers finished their harvest by the middle of September. Based on the weather, growing season and harvest, it looks like there is going to be a lot to like about the 2015 Northern Rhone Valley wines as all the information points to this being an exceptional vintage well worth buying and cellaring.
